First stop. Moving to Kilimanjaro National Park entrance and start climbing. The first shelter is at mt. 3.000. It is reachable after having crossed a wide tropical forest area.
Second stop. Following a steep crest you enter the savanna with trees and the moorland. After having crossed "picknic rock", the flat-land and Shira cave you reach in the end Shira shelter at mt. 3.800.
Third stop. Following Kibo direction you cross a wide vale, then you climb the crest and you reach Barranco shelter at mt. 3.900.
Fourth stop. You cross Great Barranco Valley and you climb up the Barranco side coming to Karanga river, which is the last place to have water along this way. In the end after the last climbing along rocks slates you reach Barafu shelter at mt. 4.600.
Fifth stop. In the middle of the night you leave for the last aim, Uhuru peak at mt. 5.896 which is the highest point of Africa. Down to Barafu shelter and going on to Mweka shelter.
Sixth stop. Through the tropical forest down to the Park entrance.
